From Reads to Leads is a newsletter for writers who want more. It's about marketing. Strategy. Positioning. Operations. Results. And yes, it talks about writing too. But through a marketing lens. If this was sent to you, subscribe here so you don't miss the next email.
In today's newsletter:
Same.
I see it in Instagram captions, LinkedIn posts, and comments. Even work emails.
It's annoying.
I have nothing against AI. I think it's a revolution. It is useful. But I do think we need to stop being so lazy just copying and pasting whatever AI has written.
Otherwise, content will always be dull, and writing it will feel sad.
It’s lived experience.
It’s context.
It’s point of view.
AI doesn’t have those.
It wasn’t raised with a single mom who couldn't buy you a Tamagotchi because it was too expensive.
It's never been fired from a job, given birth to a baby, or wept seeing a pregnant woman dead under rubble from a russian bomb in Ukraine.
It doesn’t have memories.
Or anger. Or shame. Or homesickness.
It can process language. But it can’t feel things.
It can predict the next word. But it can’t tell you what that moment really meant.
And empathy? Empathy is biological. It’s neurons mirroring neurons. It’s your body remembering what it felt like and choosing words more carefully because of it.
Humans have the why behind the words.
That’s what lets us crack the right joke, call things as they are, say the unexpected, and offer a point of view no one else can.
Let me show you how I rewrote some cliché ChatGPT lines into something more human. I’m using B2B writing examples on purpose: to prove even the “boring” stuff doesn’t have to be boring.

Without clear metrics, it’s impossible to gauge the impact of Design System or demonstrate its value.
Human
Without KPIs, it’s impossible to put together “before/after/what's changed” slide in your end-year presentation and demonstrate the Design System's value to your CEO.
ChatGPT
Many of us still grapple with questions about their true benefits of a Design System.
Human
Many of us still wonder: Is Design System a real deal or just another empty buzzword?
ChatGPT
Has it streamlined processes?
Human
Has it made your work any easier? Like when you catch yourself thinking, “I’m practically on auto-pilot most days.”
ChatGPT
Has it improved team collaboration?
Human
Fewer clashes between designers and developers on “how much time it takes” vs “how awful it looks if you don't build it”?

A Design System is like a living organism—its parts must work together seamlessly.
Human
A Design System is like a living organism. It evolves. From a small library of elements and styles, it often grows into a "monster” you'd never want to share your Figma with.
I want to write like a person. Because that’s when writing is fun.
So put yourself back into your writing.
Make it weird. Make it real. Make it yours.
I don’t have the words to describe what it feels like to watch my country, Ukraine, being bombed day and night. To hear world leaders twist the story, blaming us for a war we never asked for, never started.
The least I can do is share these two links:
📌 What’s happening in Ukraine: https://war.ukraine.ua/
📌 Support the Ukrainian army: https://savelife.in.ua/en/donate-en/#donate-army-card-once
Every bit of awareness and every donation helps erase that evil from the face of the earth.

A lack of calls to action in blog posts is one of the reasons why readers don't continue their journey on your website and don't convert into leads. The good news is, it's easy to fix. Check out the best examples of calls to action to add to your blog.
Why mass-producing low-quality content isn’t a bold move – it’s just bad marketing.
Articles no one reads... Non-stop requests from ebooks to Instagram captions... Feeling a cog in the content machine... If you're thinking "Oh sh*t, that's me!" it's time to pivot into high-impact work. My newsletter will tell you how.
